Texas A&M University-Victoria seeks three to four full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professors of Professional Counseling with an anticipated start date of January 2027. The position is located at the Victoria Campus.
Texas A&M University–Victoria seeks three to four full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professors of Professional Counseling, with an anticipated start date of January 2027. The position is located at the Victoria Campus, and the successful candidate will maintain a regular presence on campus.
Qualifications: The College of Education and Health Professions at Texas A&M University–Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track position in Professional Counseling. The Master of Science in Professional Counseling program offers two CACREP-accredited concentrations: Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Professional School Counseling.
We seek an individual with an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a closely related field, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program. Candidates with a confirmed doctoral completion date will be considered. Candidates should identify with the counseling profession through active involvement in appropriate professional organizations and demonstrate experience in university teaching and clinical supervision of counselors-in-training.
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of CACREP standards, professional counseling practice, and the preparation of clinical mental health and/or professional school counselors. Candidates must be eligible for appropriate professional licensure or certification in the State of Texas.
