Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operation
  • Accident investigation & drive RCA process in plant for all incidents.
  • Ensure Statutory Safety compliances.
  • Risk Communication and improve behavioural safety through TBT, Mass meeting, Safety training.
  • Monitoring & controlling the Safety activities according to the annual Business Plan.
  • Assisting in preparation of Video/ Animation film for training Based on the Incident Learning and Recommendation
  • Conducting different awareness campaign & events like National Safety Month, Fire Day, Road Safety Month
  • Assisting Head Safety for Apex and Board Meeting & safety innovation & digitization initiatives.
  • Prepare Safety Documentation Like – MIS | Lead & Lag Indicator
  • Monthly/Quarterly Review of review of Safety Audit Report, Policy Decision & Past fatal Recommendation & TSL Safety Standard
  • Convenor of AIC/UIC meeting & Participate monthly Safety Apex Meeting
  • Overall seeing the Contractor Safety Management System process and implementation
  • Conducting various type of safety audit & Inspection for the Unit
  • Compliance of Work permit procedure
  • Maintaining Documentation for ISO 45001

Knowledge , skills and experience (Minimum level)

Educational qualifications

B.E/ B.Tech /Diploma

Dip In Industrial Safety & Dip in Mechanical

Relevant experience 3- 10 years Required Competencies

  1. Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Ability to identify potential hazards and assess risks in the workplace.
  2. Accident Investigation: Skills in investigating accidents, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing corrective actions
  3. Emergency Response Planning: Proficiency in developing and managing emergency response plans
  4. Safety Training and Communication: Ability to conduct safety training sessions and effectively communicate safety protocols
  5. Compliance Management: Ensuring compliance with statutory safety regulations and maintaining documentation
  6. Safety Audits and Inspections: Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
  7. Behavioral Safety Improvement: Promoting a culture of safety through Training
  8. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess safety data
