The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is looking for a self-motivated and committed individual to fill the position of Assistant Officer. The appointee will provide administrative support to the Department. Key duties include, but not limited to, the following:

• Provide administrative support for program operations;
• Support the administration of the Department's internship program, including liaising with students, employers, internal units, and external stakeholders, as well as maintaining program records and databases;
• Support general office operations and provide secretarial support to faculty members, including processing procurement requests, purchase orders, and reimbursement claims;
• Assist in the organization of departmental events, meetings, and promotional activities;
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Department.

Applicants should possess:

• A bachelor’s degree with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
• Proficiency in common computer applications, such as Microsoft Office;
• A strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment, with excellent attention to detail;
• The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines;
• A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Duration: 2 years, renewable

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
