The Dean of Students' Office is seeking for civic-minded and committed individual for the role of Assistant Officer (Community Engagement) of HKUST Connect. The appointee will work closely with student bodies, internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of student development programs.
Key responsibilities include:
The role requires flexibility in working hours, including outside normal office hours. Occasional travels outside Hong Kong may be required.
The new appointee will join a stable, high-performing team dedicated to empowering students through volunteering within the local community and experiential learning activities. The department has a strong record of delivering successful student development programs and civic engagement programs in partnership with NGOs and social enterprises.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and have no more than 2 years of post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possess a student-centric growth mindset and a demonstrated passion in community service. Fluency in English & Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and strong proficiency in MS Excel and PC applications are required.
Prior knowledge of video or multimedia production is a plus. Passionate fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
