Dearborn Hospital is consistently ranked among Michigan’s Top 10 Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Since 1953, we have served as a leading teaching and research institution dedicated to advancing high-quality, patient-centered care. As a Level II Trauma Center, we are recognized for clinical excellence and innovation across multiple specialties, including:
CCU is responsible for treating patients with a full range of cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and endocrine disorders as well as infectious diseases and surgical patients. We also provide CRRT and offer Hypothermia treatments to post-cardiac arrest patients.
All team members participate in comprehensive hospital, nursing, and unit-specific orientations designed to support a successful transition into the role. Unit-specific competencies and core skills are completed during the orientation process to ensure confidence and clinical excellence.
Our interdisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nursing Assistants (NAs) who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care. Teamwork, communication, and mutual support are the foundation of our unit culture and are essential to maintaining a positive and cohesive work environment.
Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.
