At our hotel, the guest experience never stops. We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Night Manager to support the smooth operation of our hotel overnight.

Working closely with the Night Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, overseeing overnight operations, completing the night audit process, and ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members and property.

What you'll do:

• Support the Night Manager in overseeing all overnight hotel operations
• Complete the night audit process, including preparing daily financial reports
• Processing payments including room charges, debit and credit, cash and cheques in accordance with established procedures
• Deliver a high level of guest satisfaction through prompt and professional service
• Checking guests in, out and managing any wake-up call requests
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests and complaints
• Monitor hotel safety and security procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Communicate effectively with the morning team regarding important overnight developments
• Ensure the hotel maintains high standards of service throughout the night

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience managing the night processes in a hotel environment would be preferred
• Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing
• Cash handling experience for counting and securing bank and processing cash payments
• Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software - Opera preferred
• Strong communication, problem solving and relationship building skills for effective and pleasant interactions with guests and housekeeping staff
• Passionate about delivering exceptional Customer service
• Positive and flexible attitude
• Valid NSW RSA Competency card and First Aid Qualifications (required)
• Right to Legally work full time in Australia
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety and security procedures
