Job Description

In a nutshell

Own execution of the assigned categories (e.g. Clothing - Mens, Ladies & Kids) from order confirmation to shipment and ensure issues are deal with efficiently and quickly through use of your great organisational skills; on point to make sure we deliver goods on time and give our customers great availability; you will have an eye for detail and be confident challenging stakeholders and shouting out risk. You will have a strong desire to learn and grow in your role.

What I need to do

  • Be aware of UK performance and immediate commercial priorities from weekly trade, understand trade meeting outputs and commercial dynamics, proactively respond to trading needs. Understand our business vision and goal and play a positive role.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with cross functional colleagues in Asia, UK colleagues and suppliers to provide a clear visibility of order status. Effectively influencing and managing supplier performance
  • Have a clear understanding of our operating procedures and be familiar with all necessary systems and our ways-of-working and support the sustainability agenda.
  • Support the order management process from purchase order to shipment delivery; maintain accurate purchase order records and critical path trackers, monitoring delivery and flagging potential risk, identify solutions with suppliers; escalating to line manager.
  • Engage with the Origin Supply Chain team to support timely handover of goods and optimize shipping.
  • Support on supplier set up process and support the process of new supplier sourcing.
  • Manage raw material planning with mills, suppliers capacity availability and provide clarity to my UK Merchandising colleagues.

What I need to know

  • Fresh graduate welcome
  • Able to articulate a clear interest in sourcing, merchandising and production. Developing knowledge of production processes, techniques, and product components. Understand the levers that drive lead times for the different regions and products worked on
  • A developing awareness of the different cultures that I interact with
  • I can read commercial reports and I understand basic commercial metrics and have the confidence to learn new systems.
  • Excellent business written and spoken English and Mandarin
