Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Role Purpose

This position will lead HF plant cost control team to support plant controller to

  • Enhance daily MFG finance operation and deliver cost target
  • Improve MFG finance processes/procedures
  • Ensure compliance to internal/external control requirements
  • Develop cost control team

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team to ensure timely and accurate monthly closing, reporting and forecast.
  • Review and validate financial implications (e.g., ROI, IRR, pay-back) of capital investment.
  • Improve finance processes and procedures with accuracy, reliability and timeliness.
  • Analyze and control plant manufacturing cost and support cost saving initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing finance expertise and decision support to plant management to enable the achievement of plant goals and objectives.
  • Lead team to meet division consolidation and corporate reconciliation requirements.
  • Support long term (5 years) plan and annual budget.
  • Ensure compliance to policies and meet internal/external control requirements.
  • Train and develop talent to support business needs.
  • Other ad hoc tasks assigned.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in accounting or financial management related
  • 8+ years’ progressive experience in finance field
  • 3+ years’ experience of supervisor role
  • Experience of Big 4 or manufacturing cost management is preferred
  • CPA or ACCA or CMA is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and processes
  • Be familiar with manufacture cost management and plant operation
  • Good analytical skill with business insights and influence
  • Ability to lead and motivate team
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across functions
  • Ability to communicate in both Chinese & English fluently and effectively
  • Advanced Excel and presentation skills are required
  • Take accountability and business result oriented
  • Quick learner
  • Highly self-motivated with performance standard
  • Strong business partnership and influence skill
  • Meet time pressure and multitask deliverable with good quality.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Digital skill on Power BI, Power App, Python, ChatGPT etc. plus
  • Experience with SAP/ERP is preferred.
