[What the role is]

At the JTC Academy, our vision is to make learning a competitive advantage for JTC. We believe that realising our vision will require an Academy team that is ready and enabled to take on multi-faceted roles, as subject matter experts on the learning needs and preferences of JTC officers, curators with a flair for writing and design to develop engaging learning content and interactions, innovators with the knowhow and creativity to experiment new modes of learning delivery, and implementors with keen eye for detail and systematic delivery of plans. We seek to build our team around divergent expertise and like-minded change-makers, who are unafraid to uncover opportunities to invent and deliver new learning experiences in unique ways.

[What you will be working on]

JTC Academy is seeking a self-motivated, resourceful and resilient individual, who shares our passion to delight our users (colleagues) with inspiring learning experiences, our mission to build the competencies and expertise of all JTC officers, and to create a sustainable learning culture in JTC.

Our ideal candidate is a strong manager of development programmes and deliverables, a solid writer, and an experimental thinker with keen instinct for instructional, interaction and experience design. The candidate will be part of a pioneering team of hybrid talents who will be expected to look beyond point solutions as they formulate learning and development strategies and apply design to the creation of new learning content, digital solutions, learning systems, and new user experiences.

[What we are looking for]

- Background in Arts & Social Sciences/Service Design /Communication Studies or relevant Cross- and Multi- Disciplinary training (e.g. Data Science & Social Sciences/Humanities combinations) preferred.
- Strong project and people management skills. Must be able to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor
- Possess a strong command of the English language, is effectively bilingual and has the capability to synthesize and present information clearly
- Good aesthetic sense
- Proven proficiency in industry-standard publication, animation software tools, design, communications, development and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competent in defining, planning and managing project deliverables
- Competent in formulating user surveys and conducting user research
- Ability to interpret user (internal and external) needs and analyse/ interpret data
- Skilled and competent in organising thoughts with speed, communicating with clarity and impact, as well as articulating and presenting ideas clearly and persuasively
- Thrives on being meticulous and a multi-tasker who can adapt and keep to tight timelines and sudden deadlines.

The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) is a technical agency in the Ministry of Defence that harnesses advanced digital technologies to meet Singapore’s security needs.

We develop capabilities to support missions such as cyber defence, counter terrorism, and counter hostile information operations. Our technical focus includes cybersecurity, data analytics, software engineering, and cloud infrastructure and services.

CSIT was established in 2003 and is a member of the Defence Technology Community.
