As a key member of the IMAX China Marketing team, this role will lead social media management and creative campaign planning across all platforms, while supporting the creative and operational needs of our fast-growing e-commerce merchandise business. The position reports to the Digital Marketing Director and plays a critical role in driving brand engagement, fan conversion, and merchandise revenue.

What you’ll be doing:

Position Title: Assistant Manager/Manager, Digital Marketing

Position Overview

This role is a hybrid of social media leadership and e-commerce operational support. You will own the end-to-end management of IMAX China's social media platforms—from daily publishing and content calendars to creative campaign planning and KOL collaboration—while also supporting the creative and operational execution of the e-commerce merchandise business, including product launch campaigns, platform operations, and content-driven conversion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Platform Management & Creative Campaigns

· Oversee daily content publishing, scheduling, and account operations across all social media platforms (Red note, Douyin, WeChat, Weibo etc.), ensuring brand consistency and steady publishing cadence.

• Lead creative campaign planning and execution end-to-end—from insight mining and creative concept to content production and post-campaign review.
• Actively orchestrate social influencers collaborations and manage external agencies and ensuring content quality, timeliness, and budget efficiency.
• Track social media performance metrics, deliver regular reports, and continuously optimize content strategy based on data insights.
• Integrate social content with film release campaigns and brand initiatives to maximize public reaching and engaging opportunities.

1. E-commerce Creative & Operational Support

• Support the e-commerce merchandise business by producing creative content and marketing assets for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and platform promotions.
• Assist in daily operations of e-commerce platforms (Tmall and WeChat Mini-Program etc.), including campaign planning, page creative optimization, product assortment coordination, and launch scheduling.
• Align social content with e-commerce conversion goals, building a seamless content seeding for purchase conversion funnel.
• Work closely with the cross-functional teams to respond quickly to evolving e-commerce business needs and identify creative opportunities for merchandise marketing.

1. Cross-Team for Film & Brand Supports

• Collaborate with the broader marketing team to support key theatrical online and offline campaigns, integrating social media activation and merchandise tie-ins into film-specific marketing plans.
• Participate in cross-functional brand projects as needed, contributing social and e-commerce insights to ensure cohesive brand storytelling across all channels.

What we’re looking for:

This challenging position suits a results-oriented individual with strong marketing, communications skills and fluent in both Mandarin and English.

• Bachelor's degree or above, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media management, or e-commerce marketing, preferably in entertainment, IP commercialization, designer toys/collectibles, or leading consumer brands.
• Proven experience in managing all major social media platforms in China, with a strong track record of creative campaign planning and execution from strategy to delivery.
• Hands-on experience in KOL/KOS/KOC collaboration and agency management, with a solid understanding of content ecosystems on Rednote, Douyin, and Weibo.
• Experience in e-commerce operations or e-commerce creative support, with a clear understanding of platform mechanics, campaign planning, and content-driven conversion.
• Strong commercial acumen and data-driven mindset; able to balance creative excellence with business results.
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to coordinate external vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver complex projects from concept to execution.
• Industry Passion & Film Savvy: A genuine passion for cinema with extensive viewing experience. The ability to keenly capture key theatrical release windows and weave film cultural elements into social content and merchandise marketing.
• Results-driven and adaptable in a fast-changing business environment.
