Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Athens Branch, located in Athens, Greece, is a subsidiary of Bank of China (Europe) S.A., operating within the regulatory framework of the European financial system.
The branch was officially licensed by the Bank of Greece on November 11, 2019, operations commenced on March 31, 2020, under the initial name Bank of China (Luxembourg) S.A. Athens Branch, and it was officially renamed Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Athens Branch on February 9, 2022. As part of Bank of China’s European platform, the Athens Branch is committed to supporting bilateral economic cooperation and delivering high-quality financial services to clients in Greece and the broader region.
In June 2026, Athens Branch has established the 'BOC Europe Shipping Finance Center', to support enterprises from Europe and China in expanding their presence across global shipping trading and shipping logistics. Athens Branch currently has 3 functional departments and 14 employees, establishing an organizational structure with clear responsibilities and efficient collaboration.
Responsible for the daily operations of the Business Management Department, coordinating financial accounting and administrative logistics support. By optimizing the expense management system, standardizing procurement processes, and strengthening workplace safety management, efficient, compliant, and comfortable office environments and support services are provided to business departments, ensuring smooth and orderly overall company operations.
