Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Responsible for overall performance and continuous improvement in PQCDSM parameters.
  • Knowledge of OEE & OLE- Analysis of losses and actions for improvement.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and adherences of compliance.
  • Hands on experience of different machining processes of Casting & Forging components.
  • Knowledge of new product development & process improvement.
  • Knowledge of different machine functions and able to recover machines in case of breakdown. Focus to reduce MTTR and MTBF.
  • Machine uptime improvement through fast recovery from minor stoppages.
  • Hands on experience of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge & hands on experience of Basic Quality tools for analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Systematic problem solving like PDCA, DMAIC.
  • Knowledge of CAPEX & OPEX Planning, Resource Planning.
  • Knowledge of Dexterity, Process Improvement.
  • Hands on experience in CNC programming on HMC & VMC machine.
  • Hands on experience of handling Robotic machines.
  • Knowledge of Automated process like auto loading/unloading, auto cleaning etc.
  • Hands on experience on SPM machines.
  • Strong and effective Daily Work Management (DWM)
  • Proficiency of local language is required to deal with unionised work force.
  • Organizing the work force & deployment on stages based on skill and competency level of workman.
  • Knowledge & experience of unionised manpower & IR issues handling.
  • Coaching and training to associates to improve PQCDSM parameters.
  • Evaluate each workstation of machining process to ensure maximum efficiency, to improve process, to improve tool life, to reduce work content.
  • Handling & resoling live issues related to Process, Quality, Maintenance & safety.
  • Root cause analysis & action planning for opportunity of improvements.
  • New model Machining set up, line setup, and ramp up.
  • Knowledge of conversion cost and focus efforts to reduce conversion cost.
  • Driving cost reduction and productivity improvement projects.
  • Interaction with all support functions and concern resolution with the help of CFT.
  • Develop continuous improvement culture.
  • Benchmark best practices across other plants and industry for manufacturing excellence.
  • Knowledgeable of TPM & TQM.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PFD, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plan & SOP, SMED, MOST, Time Study.
  • Knowledge of quality and safety systems and adherence through review. Like IMS (EMS & QMS) ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018
  • Knowledge of cutting tools & tooling’s.
  • Knowledge of Inventory management & Perpetual Inventory process.
  • Knowledge of KANBAN
  • Knowledge of ESG & Power saving initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SSSE & V3 Analysis for ergonomic study and improvement.
  • Knowledge & hands on experience of VSM
