Job Description

  • Act as a product owner for retail fixed income and FX/FCD offerings, with a focus on secondary market bonds (local and foreign) and foreign currency products.
  • Lead and support initiatives to enhance systems, digital channels, and operational processes related to product distribution, pricing, execution, and settlement.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Front Office to deliver seamless and scalable product solutions.
  • Identify and analyze pain points in the current product lifecycle and propose enhancements through automation, digitization, or process redesign.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process flows, and user guides to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance across all stakeholders.
  • Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), participate in solution design, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features or system enhancements.
  • Monitor market trends, client behavior, and regulatory developments to ensure product competitiveness and compliance.
  • Support the creation of internal tools and dashboards for relationship managers and dealers to access real-time data on bond inventory, FX rates, and client activity.
  • Provide support in enhancing structured product offerings, such as coordinating system/process updates or assisting with documentation and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, CIMB policy & procedure, client mandates, guidelines market conventions, and the Department’s policy and procedure globally
  • Perform any other duty as and when instructed by Head

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, fixed income, FX, digital banking, or process improvement
  • Strong understanding of retail bond markets (local and foreign), FX, and foreign currency deposit (FCD) products.
  • Experience in system development life cycle, agile project delivery, or digital transformation is highly preferred.
  • Experience in drafting SOPs, process documentation, or operational manuals is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Excel, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with retail banking platforms, wealth management systems, or treasury systems is an advantage
