
As Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications at Nanyang Business School (NBS), NTU Singapore, you will help drive the School's strategic communications and brand storytelling. You will shape NBS's brand and reputation across owned, earned, and paid media, strengthening its positioning and thought leadership. Leveraging strong editorial judgment, creative storytelling skills, and proficiency in AI-powered content creation tools and workflows, you will partner with stakeholders across the School to create impactful content and deliver integrated communications that advance its strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Editorial and Content Production
Develop original brand stories and thought leadership content, or repurpose existing assets into compelling multi-platform content, independently or in collaboration with external agencies.
Write and publish feature stories on the NBS website, including content highlighting strategic partnerships, faculty achievements, and other key initiatives.
Lead the curation and distribution of the NBS research newsletter, translating academic research into clear, engaging stories for business, industry, and academic audiences.
Manage and grow NBS's social media presence to increase community engagement and strengthen thought leadership.
Use AI-powered content creation and creative tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Gemini Enterprise) to create compelling content, including short-form videos, infographics, and social media assets.
Explore, evaluate, and implement emerging AI tools and workflows to enhance storytelling while maintaining editorial quality, brand consistency, and responsible use of AI.
Collaborate with the in-house designer and videographer to guide and review the production of communication materials.
Internal Communications
Lead the copywriting and curation of regular internal communications, including the monthly staff newsletter.
Partner with the Dean's Office to develop and review executive communications, including speeches and internal memos.
Website and Programme Support
Manage updates and approvals for assigned pages on the NBS corporate website and intranet, ensuring content remains accurate and timely.
Review and coordinate approvals for communication materials submitted by programme offices and other teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with brand standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in corporate communications, brand marketing, digital content creation, or a similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce and adapt high-quality professional content. Ability to produce content in Mandarin will be an advantage to support communications with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders or markets.
Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills, with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and consistency.
Digitally savvy, with proficiency in content creation and AI-assisted tools to develop engaging written, visual, and multimedia content. Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms such as RedNote and WeChat is an advantage.
Proven project management and organisational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
Naturally curious about branding, storytelling, creativity, and continuous improvement, especially how AI is reshaping communications and content creation.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.
