The Role

We are seeking an Analyst, Static Data to join our Global Wholesale Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate setup, maintenance, validation, and control of financial and non-financial static data supporting Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market, and Derivatives products across North America, Europe, and Asia.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity across trading and operational platforms, helping to minimize market, processing, and operational risk. The successful candidate will work closely with credit, onboarding, and trading support processes while contributing to ongoing system enhancements, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence initiatives.

This role may occasionally require coverage of early shifts supporting global business partners in London, Mexico, and Singapore.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Static Data Maintenance & Data Quality Control

  • Perform static data setup, validation, maintenance, and administration activities across multiple trading support systems.
  • Investigate and resolve data exceptions, discrepancies, and system-generated reports in a timely manner.
  • Update relevant systems based on approved source documentation and client or business responses.
  • Maintain and report weekly static data validation metrics and performance statistics.
  • Identify recurring issues, data trends, and process inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Support system updates, product enhancements, and ad hoc data maintenance activities.

Credit Facility & Counterparty Data Management

  • Review and accurately capture information from credit authorizations, disbursement instructions, and other approved documentation.
  • Maintain data accuracy and completeness across all supported applications and databases.
  • Ensure static data is established and maintained in accordance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Utilize designated booking and credit systems to support credit facility maintenance and monitoring activities.
  • Support counterparty onboarding processes by ensuring required documentation is complete and properly reflected within applicable systems.

Operational Support & Project Participation

  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery testing activities, including occasional after-hours testing requirements.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
  • Support operational and strategic projects related to process improvements, regulatory initiatives, and system transformation efforts.
  • Contribute to special assignments and other operational activities as required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Sound PC skills are required to communicate and operate within an automated, technology-based work environment.
  • Should have excellent client service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technology and data related issues and solid working knowledge of capital markets systems and terminology.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prior exposure to Commodities business is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience working on a Trade Floor and supporting a trading environment is an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of Commodity markets in the US/Canada including Oil and Natural Gas is strongly preferred.
  • Working experience with either in-house built Commodities systems or vendor Commodities trading systems is an asset.
  • High efficiency, flexibility and solid organizational skills are required to complete work in an accurate and thorough manner within deadlines.
  • Clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and contribute positively to team spirit and moral.
  • Working knowledge of various derivative and foreign exchange products, as well as disbursement and confirmation processes
  • Flexible to work overtime on short notice to meet processing deadlines
  • Knowledge of WSS, BESS, K2, SCOTS, MUREX, Epsilon, SWE systems would be an asset.
  • Experience working within the Commodities Trading area is an asset and hands-on experience supporting a trading environment is an asset.
