Job Description

The company seeks a highly skilled and self-motivated SDET – Test Automation Lead (Automation + Functional - individual contributor) role to join our Enterprise Software QA team under Solution Delivery Services (IT dept.). The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with excellent understanding of Onity’s Loan Servicing process, excellent interpersonal communications, diligent time management skills, team-oriented, and a strong work ethic. Lastly, you work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints

• The individual would be expected to understand business needs, design functional and automation test cases to deliver a high standard software. Should have experience on various software test automation frameworks – Playwright/ Robot Framework/ Selenium, also should have experience working on advanced excel/VBA, Python, JavaScript and SQL.

• In addition the candidate will be expected to design and implement AI-driven testing workflows, LLM Based test automation solutions. These capabilities will help optimize test coverage, reduce redundancy, and provide predictive insights into software quality.

JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with internal Business teams, Business Analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements and develop both functional and automation test cases.
• Lead and manage Software testing efforts across multiple projects.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using JavaScript and Python.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Design and implement AI-driven automation workflows using Copilot/ LLM based solutions to improve test efficiency and accuracy.
• Leverage AI/ML models to optimize test coverage, predict high-risk areas, and reduce redundant test cases.
• Integrate AI-powered analytics into dashboards to provide actionable insights on test performance, defect trends, and release readiness.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support functional testing efforts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop detailed test plans and execute tests for major and minor software updates/releases.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business users as needed.
• Log, track, and manage system defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with developers, business units, system analysts, and administrators to implement automated testing solutions.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles addressing frequently asked questions and best practices for loan servicing and other mortgage business applications.

QUALIFICATION:

• Need a SDET – Test Lead (Automation + Functional - individual contributor) with strong skillsets on Python, JavaScript bases test automation framework.

• 10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in automation testing.

• Ability to understand the impacts based on BRD/new features, create functional/regression test cases, build data, test the applications, defect tracking, risk-based testing and reporting

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

• Experience with DevOps practices and cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience with frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, etc.

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum).

• Ability to work on both functional and automation testing projects.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

2 PM – 11 PM IST
