At Bowtie, we aren’t just selling insurance; we’re rebuilding it from the ground up. As Hong Kong’s first virtual insurer, we thrive on transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decisions.
We are looking for a high-caliber Assistant Manager / Senior Associate to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This isn’t a role for "bean counters." We need a strategic storyteller who can sit at the intersection of Actuarial Science and Corporate Finance to help us navigate our next phase of hyper-growth.
You will be working in a fast-paced organization that promotes cross-functional collaboration (objective of the role).
1. Performance Measurement & Reporting
Narrative-Driven Reporting: Own the monthly business review process, translating raw numbers into compelling narratives that explain "the why" behind Actuals vs. Plan.
LOB Precision: Execute granular Line of Business (LOB) reporting to provide the leadership team with visibility into specific margin contributions.
AI Integration: Partner with our Data Engineering teams to ensure financial data is "AI-ready," driving the transition toward automated variance reporting and predictive analytics.
2. Financial Management & Forecasting
Strategic Planning: Play a key role in the annual budgeting cycle, working cross-functionally with department heads to align resources with our mission.
Dynamic Modeling: Build and maintain rolling forecasts that are agile enough to reflect rapid business mix shifts and new product launches.
Liquidity Optimization: Monitor the Cash Conversion Cycle, identifying strategic levers to optimize liquidity while fueling our aggressive growth trajectory.
3. Business Optimization & Decision Support
Growth Feedback Loop: Conduct deep-dive Value vs. Cost analyses to provide actionable insights for our Marketing and Growth teams.
Scenario Modeling: Perform rigorous "What-If" stress testing (e.g., impact of sales volatility or regulatory changes) to manage stakeholder expectations and future-proof our strategy.
We are looking for a unique blend of technical mastery and commercial curiosity. Whether you come from a traditional finance background or an actuarial path, you must be a builder at heart.
The Finance Path:
3–5 years of experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance within the insurance sector.
Expert-level understanding of P&L structures, cash flow management, and capital allocation.
The Actuarial Path:
3–5 years of experience in Actuarial Pricing or Valuations.
A strong desire to pivot into a commercial, "business-side" role where you can apply HKRBC or IFRS 17 knowledge to drive ROI.
The Common Denominator:
The Storyteller: You don’t just report what happened; you explain why it happened and what we should do next.
Tech-Fluent: You are comfortable with modern data stacks and eager to use technology to automate the mundane.
Agile Mindset: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where the "right answer" might change as the market evolves.
