A Day in the Life:

The Assistant Manager, Retail Training is overseeing and supporting the design, delivery and evaluation of retail training programs’ effectiveness focused on service & selling, product knowledge, social media, and brand immersion across the retail stores in HK, Macau, Taiwan, Great Bay Area, and Singapore while ensuing alignment with global frameworks and cultural relevance for the local market.

The individual will partner closely with Retail Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business priorities into impactful capability-building solutions that enhance sales performance, client experience, and brand consistency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail Training Strategy & Implementation

  • Own and execute the retail training strategy for HK, Macau, Taiwan, Great Bay Area, and Singapore in alignment with business priorities and global standards.
  • Partner with Retail Leadership to deploy training programs including new store openings, seasonal initiatives, sales and service excellence modules.
  • Ensure consistent and elevated client experience across all retail touchpoints in HK, Macau, Taiwan, Great Bay Area, and Singapore.
  • Innovate training content and delivery models: develop differentiated training approaches based on distinct customer profiles, consumer behaviors, and operational models across Mainland premium stores, outlet locations to enhance relevance and impact.
  • Drive digital and immersive learning: integrate micro-learning, short videos, AI-powered coaching, and other innovative tools to create a blended learning experience that improves engagement and learning effectiveness.

Coaching & Capability Building

  • Deliver and oversee hands-on coaching through store visits, observation, feedback, and follow-up training.
  • Build coaching capability within store and district leadership to ensure sustainable skill transfer.

Training Planning & Effectiveness

  • Develop mid-term and long-term training roadmaps based on business needs.
  • Track, evaluate, and report on training effectiveness and business impact using data and insights.
  • Continuously improve training solutions based on feedback, results, and evolving business priorities.
  • Define differentiated training priorities and evaluation criteria for premium stores versus outlet channels, ensuring training content aligns with distinct business models, customer journeys, and sales cycles.
  • Responsible for training administration such as maintaining training records, keeping tracking training hours, preparing training / trip reports and etc

Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to deliver seasonal product training and key initiatives.
  • Lead and support strategic projects which include but not limited to Retail Management Trainee programs, Key Opinion Seller initiatives, and digital enablement projects that support retail productivity.
  • Facilitate cross-region best practice sharing: organize regular training reviews and experience-sharing forums to drive mutual learning in training methodologies, and high-impact retail practices.

Budget & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and monitor the retail training budget to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to Retail Leadership and key stakeholders, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations.

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Degree holder and minimum of 6-8+ years’ retail training experience
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal and social skills, understanding of instructional design, learning theory, brand aesthetic and industry
  • Proven experience planning and managing both small- and large-scale training programs with strong execution and follow-through.
  • Strong understanding of cultural differences and norms, and ability to deliver learning experiences effectively across diverse cultures and markets
  • Creative, flexible, passionate for people and fashion
  • Highly organized, proactive/self-motivated, presentable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent and good command of English and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, and AI applications is a plus
  • Travelling is required
