The Academic Registry is looking for a highly motivated and experienced IT professional to join the Registry Systems and Operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day IT operations, system implementation and service delivery, as well as digital transformation, AI-enabled initiatives and business process improvement projects.

The appointee will be responsible for:

• Planning, procuring, managing, monitoring and reviewing IT equipment, software and related technology services to support the smooth operations;
• Analyzing business and user requirements, translating operational needs into appropriate system requirements or technical specifications, assessing impacts and recommending effective and practical solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
• Working with the University’s central IT office and external vendors to support the implementation, enhancement and ongoing operation of IT systems and projects, including system configuration, user acceptance testing, issue tracking, release readiness and follow-up of outstanding matters;
• Preparing and maintaining system documentation, standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials to support knowledge transfer, service continuity and operational resilience;
• Exploring new technologies and solutions, conducting feasibility studies and supporting digital transformation, AI-enabled services, workflow improvement and business process automation initiatives;
• Providing technical advice, coordination and support for IT systems and digital services; and
• Carrying out any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline, together with at least three years of relevant work experience in IT system support, system implementation, business analysis, databases and/or low-code application and workflow development platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power Automate) in Higher Education Sector. Experience in user acceptance testing, vendor coordination and system implementation would be advantageous. Experience with student information systems, timetable scheduling systems, AI chatbot solutions and/or curriculum management systems and related workflows is desirable.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and work effectively with users, technical teams and external vendors. The candidate should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, be able to work both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate initiative, adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
