Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager, Pureplayer KAM to join our growing team in Thailand Samsung Electronics. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing sales strategies for our consumer electronics products across key e-commerce pureplay platforms. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with our pureplayer partners, driving sales growth, optimizing online presence, and contributing to the overall success of our brand in the fast-paced Thai e-commerce landscape.
A "pureplayer" refers to an e-commerce company that operates exclusively online, without any physical retail stores. These platforms are crucial for expanding our digital footprint and reaching a wider consumer base in the Thai market.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key pureplayer e-commerce platforms (e.g., Lazada, Shopee, JD Central, specific brand.com sites, etc.) in Thailand.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned pureplayer accounts, understanding their business objectives and aligning our strategies.
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to track performance, identify opportunities, and address challenges.
Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs for assigned pureplayer accounts.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans and promotional activities tailored to each pureplayer platform to maximize sales and market share.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential pureplayer partnerships to expand our online reach.
- Negotiate trading terms, marketing agreements, and product listings with pureplayer accounts.
Online Merchandising & Marketing:
- Work closely with pureplayers to ensure optimal product visibility, content accuracy, and effective online merchandising.
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams to plan and execute digital marketing campaigns (e.g., in-app promotions, banner ads, social media campaigns) on pureplayer platforms.
- Monitor and analyze product listings, pricing, and promotions to ensure competitiveness and effectiveness.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities on pureplayer platforms.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management on sales performance, market opportunities, and challenges.
- Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable strategies.
Inventory & Forecast Management:
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely delivery to pureplayer warehouses.
- Contribute to sales forecasting and demand planning for pureplayer channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of strategies and achieve business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-Commerce, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Key Account Management, E-Commerce, Online Sales, or Modern Trade, with hands-on experience managing pureplayer platforms (e.g., Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, JD Central, or brand.com).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and managing strategic online accounts.
- Strong understanding of Thailand's e-commerce landscape, marketplace operations, online merchandising, and digital promotion strategies.
- Experience in developing joint business plans, negotiating commercial terms, and executing online campaigns with marketplace partners.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, traffic, conversion, and market data to identify business opportunities and recommend improvement actions.
- Experience in sales forecasting, inventory planning, and demand management in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations teams.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with both external partners and internal cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with marketplace analytics tools, Google Analytics, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership potential with the ability to coach junior team members, drive collaboration, and deliver business results.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
