Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the role is to provide project cost performance analysis for the project teams through effective and compliant cost attribution, financial control and reporting covering areas including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring as well as following invoicing and payments. The PMO Project Control Associate caters to Industry Sector Projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Head PMO-Project Control, Industry Sector for financial analytics of all Projects, on various Financial Reports
  • Create Project Dashboards with MS- Excel, BI Tools
  • Rigorous coordination with Business Units’ PM Team and Controlling Team
  • Extensive data crunching from Project Monitoring tools
  • Regular checking, archiving, tracking of the Project Montoring and Control Reports in coordination with project management team (actual cost, forecasted costs, hours spent, percentage of completion (POC), cash curves, scope changes, Interco transactions, Risk & Opportunities, Contingency )
  • Interpret Project Reports’ outputs to identify relevant actions to keep the project on track.
  • Regularly review with project teams the assumptions in their project management construction and contingency cost forecasts; to check that historical costs are being captured appropriately; to identify emerging issues and work with project teams on suitable mitigation strategies.
  • Constructively challenge project managers regarding cost and schedule
  • Ensure alignment of budget, commitment, and costs, respecting Group rules
  • Check the Group rules compliance and suggest remedial actions when required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should be a

  • Graduate (Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance)
  • You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Data Analysis in an industrial environment,
  • Experience in project management within John Cockerill Group is an asset
  • Mastery of the Office suite (spreadsheet, macro)
  • Knowledge of SAP is required (PS and FICO modules)
  • Extensive experience in cost planning, management & control
  • In-depth knowledge of the scope & cost of projects within similar industrial projects.
  • Experience doing business controlling and accounting is a plus.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate project progress, cost performance and facilitate interventions.
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project cost and keeping team on track.
  • Fluent in English (strong written, verbal, and proven presentation).
