Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager – Program Management for Chennai location to lead strategic customer programs, drive operational excellence, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.

This role requires a strong leader who can manage complex projects, mentor teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver business outcomes while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead and manage high-impact customer programs from planning through execution, ensuring delivery against business objectives, timelines, quality, and financial targets while being familiar with related tools.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Customer Focus Teams (CFT) to ensure seamless program execution.

  • Provide Strong People leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

  • Act as a trusted partner to customers, building strong relationships and proactively managing expectations, risks, and escalations.

  • Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI), New Product Development (NPD), and Product Lifecycle Management activities.

  • Monitor key operational and business metrics, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions to achieve program goals.

  • Lead critical issue resolution, risk mitigation, and decision-making during challenging business situations.

  • Support leadership reviews by preparing insightful business updates, presentations, and performance reports.

  • Leverage ERP systems (SAP/Baan) and automation tools to improve efficiency, visibility, and operational performance.

  • Ensure the highest level of confidentiality while handling sensitive customer and business information.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions across multiple organizational levels.

  • Proven experience driving strategic initiatives, process improvements, and operational excellence programs.

  • Ability to develop talent, build team capability, and create a high-performance work environment.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.

  • 7-10 years of Program Management experience in manufacturing, and about 3-4 years experience in Flex Program Management.

  • Should have min 3+ Years of experience in handling the team as a people manager.

  • Strong knowledge of Program Management methodologies, manufacturing operations, and customer-focused business models.

  • Experience managing complex projects, customer relationships, and cross-functional teams.

  • Sound understanding of financial concepts, P&L impact, and INCOTERMS.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Baan, or similar ERP platforms.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Experience in automation and advanced Excel-based solutions is an added advantage.

  • Flexible to work in any Shift.
