Senior Executive – Production / Assistant Manager - Production

Position Snapshot:

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Production – Beverage & Culinary, the role is responsible for leading Beverage Filling & Packing operations to achieve business targets through safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing practices while driving operational excellence, quality, and team performance in line with Nestlé standards.

A day in the life of the role:

  • Lead Filling & Packing operations to deliver safety, quality, service, and cost targets.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE, GMP, HACCP, NQMS, food safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage production planning and execution for operational efficiency and reliable supply.
  • Drive TPM/NCE, continuous improvement, and loss reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and operational compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams through capability building and performance management.
  • Ensure SAP/GLOBE data accuracy and effective use of manufacturing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and innovation.

What will make you successful?

  • Education: Degree in Engineering or Science
  • Expected experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality within the FMCG industry.
  • Experience in food processing, production planning and operations, including Filling & Packing, TPM/NCE, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven leadership experience in team and project management.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English & Sinhala
  • Other skills:
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing, food safety, quality systems, and SHE practices.
  • Understanding of TPM/NCE, SAP/GLOBE, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and results orientation.
