Position Title: Assistant Manager – Production

Reports To: DGM - Production and Maintenance

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Location:Bengaluru

Purpose of the role

Responsible for managing and optimizing the complete value chain from Planning to final product delivery. The role ensures seamless coordination across planning, procurement, supplier management, production, quality, logistics, maintenance, and continuous improvement functions to achieve customer commitments, operational excellence, inventory optimization, and cost competitiveness.

The position serves as the coordinator across internal teams ensure material availability, production continuity, delivery performance, quality compliance and Safety.



Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end value chain ownership from Planning to final product delivery.
  • Prepare and drive monthly and daily production plans to meet deliveries.
  • Ensure availability of components and manufacturing resources.
  • Coordinate with CFT for timely deliveries of components to ensure smooth production.
  • Lead and resolve quality issues to avoid production disruptions.
  • Monitor production execution and ensure adherence to production plans.
  • Ensure timely customer deliveries and proactively manage supply-demand gaps.
  • Effective handling of resource.
  • Coordinate Equipment maintenance activities to avoid downtime.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive localization initiatives for imported components to improve cost and availability.
  • Lead inventory reduction and material flow improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to SPS process as per SKF guideline.
  • Monitor and improve key KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Working Climate and Environment

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 plus years of experience from B.E (Mechanical) background
  • Prior experience in handling full value chain of Assembled products.
  • Ability to balance demands, material availability, and production capacity to meet customers requirements.
  • Ability to drive production plan adherence, resource utilization, and equipment uptime.
  • Ability to resolve supplier and in-house quality issues using structured root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to lead productivity, waste reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to optimize inventory, drive cost reduction, and implement localization initiatives.
  • Behavioural Skill Set - Teamwork, Conflict Resolution, Relationship Building, Decision making, Sense of commitment, Communication, Eye-for-details, Problem-solving, Learning / self-development and Initiative.
