Job Description

  • Responsible for Process Stability, costing, capex, and capacity of the plant.
  • Setting annual goals/objectives & annual budget.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity & Cost metrics.
  • Troubleshooting production problems and corrective action deployment.
  • Collaborate with Maintenace , Production , Quality & Engineering in problem analysis and its solution.
  • Periodic FMEA reviews and Manufactuing risk assessmet.
  • Tooling management – Life monitoring, Repairs, Maintenance & Replenishment.
  • Support internal and external audits related to process engineering and launch management.
  • Drive /support - Continuous improvement activities & simplication of vaue stream.
  • Responsible for process design / development & flawless launches in the plant.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.
  • Process validation activities, including proto tooling development, execution and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure to support global network with development of Manufacturing Process Standardization Specifications (MPSS), foundation pFMEAs, Global Product-Process Standards, and Manufacturing Engineering Manuals.
  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, Tooling, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years (Degree) / 14 Years (Diploma) experience in automotive manufacturing with a strong foundation in process engineering.
  • Ability to manage and lead teams with highly educated/skilled team members effectively.
  • Experience in new product introduction and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of and familiarity with CAD, IATF - 16949 & ISO 14001, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, VA/VE, TPM and other automotive related activities.
  • Process knowledge of MIG Welding, Resistance welding, Torquing & Press fit process.
  • Understanding safety regulations and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency with generic software applications (Microsoft Office, project management tools & CAD).
  • Proficiency in English (verbal + written).
  • Willingness to work outside normal working hours in case needed.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to other plants / Customer to provide subject matter expert support.
  • Customer Quality Focus, Team Collaboration, Adaptability to face challenges with ease, Analytical ability for effective root cause analysis.
