About the role:

Purpose of the Role

The Assistant Manager – Pricing Operations & Commercial Transformation is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of commercial pricing while continuously improving the pricing operating model.

Working closely with Business teams, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Commercial, Finance, Customer teams and Data & Technology, this role bridges commercial strategy and operational execution. The role goes beyond managing day-to-day pricing activities and is expected to strengthen governance, simplify processes, leverage technology and AI, and build scalable ways of working that enable better commercial outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Pricing Operations

Lead the delivery of pricing operations across business-as-usual activities and major commercial initiatives (CPI cycles), ensuring operational excellence, pricing accuracy and robust governance.

  • Deliver accurate, timely and governed pricing execution across the end-to-end pricing lifecycle
  • Maintain and manage pricing databases and SAP pricing, ensuring accurate and timely price execution across direct and indirect customers.
  • Drive invoice accuracy through proactive reconciliation, pricing validation and resolution of pricing discrepancy

Commercial Partnership

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate commercial strategy into operational execution.

  • Build trusted relationships across Business teams, Finance, Customer teams, RGM and Technology (with teams based in Australia and Bangalore)
  • Provide pricing expertise and insights to enable effective business decisions.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders while balancing business priorities and operational requirements.
  • Ensuring offshore delivery remains closely aligned with Australia market priorities

Process Excellence & Transformation

Continuously improve pricing operations by simplifying processes, strengthening governance and driving standardisation.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and continuously improve pricing processes and governance.
  • Drive root-cause resolution by identifying recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions
  • Leverage automation, AI and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, data quality, business outcomes and stakeholder experience

Leadership & Growth

Demonstrate leadership through ownership, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning, driving positive outcomes beyond individual responsibilities.

AI & Pricing Capability Enablement Drive adoption of AI, automation and digital tools to strengthen pricing and RGM operations

  • Identify and implement opportunities to embed AI and automation across pricing workflows, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy and efficiency.
  • Leverage AI and analytical tools to simplify reporting, analysis and decision-support processes.
  • Build team capability and adoption of new tools and AI-enabled ways of working, encouraging experimentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Approximately 5 years' experience in Pricing Operations, Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Operations or a similar commercial role.
  • Experience partnering with sales or commercial teams in an FMCG or consumer environment preferred
  • Exposure to process improvement, automation or transformation initiatives is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP/S4HANA is required. Exposure to Anaplan, Power BI and similar commercial planning and analytics tools is preferred.
