Assistant Manager Press Car Operations (All genders welcome)in the PR & Brand Experience team in the Marketing departmentat the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

The successful candidate will coordinate project activities and deliver expert guidance within a defined field, while planning and managing work packages with a forward-looking perspective of 3 to 6 months as well as, aligning with our values below:

Your Responsibilities:

1. Asset Planning, Governance & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage and coordinate Marketing department car orders, logistics, and preparation for PR & marketing activities. Including but not limited to media events, product presentations, and supporting asset readiness for Communication activities.

  • Oversee a 12-month planning cycle, advising senior stakeholders on the marketing car calendar, from key ordering dates, to overseeing all project-related processes involving the assets, as well as other key milestones to end of asset life cycle.

  • Build and implement standardized procedures across departments to streamline press car processes, ensuring alignment with global and local requirements.

  • Lead the management of car asset availability, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., registration, technical checks, etc.).

2. Logistics, Operations & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the key liaison between the marketing department and external markets/agencies to ensure smooth press car logistics, preparation, and usage plans.

  • Coordinate with the Events team all car related needs, from shuttle car management to route scouting, ensuring operational excellence in event execution.

  • Manage the coordination of technical media tests supporting on-site responsibilities.

3. Technical Communication, Media Support & Reputation Management

  • Ensure continuous collaboration with PR Country Managers to manage press car-related technical issues, providing timely product related press statements when necessary.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in responding to media inquiries and handling complex product-related questions.

  • Advise on product-related crises and technical media issues, providing well-reasoned solutions and proactive communications to safeguard brand reputation.

  • Contributing to technical storytelling and enhancing Kia’s EV narrative by proposing and supporting the creation of tech media stories, collaborating with various R&D teams for PR generation and further enhancing product visibility.

4. Budget Management & Financial Control

  • Maintain and manage the Kia Business Charge card, monitoring the budget and ensuring financial accountability.

  • Liaise with financial controlling to ensure alignment with funding processes and compliance with internal budget procedures.

Your talents:

Education:

  • Technical or commercial education, ideally complemented by a university degree in Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

  • 3 to 4 years of technical field experience, with expertise in all powertrains (ICE, HEV, PHEV, EV).

  • Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken); additional languages (especially Korean) are a plus.

  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office.

  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and report issues clearly, proposing effective solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong problem-solving and time management capabilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive thinking, and a friendly manner.

  • Proactive, service-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of challenges.

  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Experience in managing or coordinating teams is a plus.

  • Comfortable with hosting or representing the company in various settings.

Experience:

  • Practical automotive experience is highly valued.

Skills:

  • Valid and clean driver’s license. Willingness to travel extensively (Pan-European scope)
