The Assistant Manager – Pharmacy Operations provides hands-on operational leadership for the inpatient pharmacy at Fairview Hospital, overseeing central pharmacy operations while leading a growing team of approximately 19 pharmacy technicians across day and night shift operations. This role combines frontline leadership with active participation in daily workflow, requiring the ability to step into operational responsibilities—including supporting IV room activities—as staffing needs arise. Responsibilities include managing technician scheduling, performance, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and professional development while driving workflow optimization and operational efficiency. The Assistant Manager also ensures compliance with USP standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and partners with pharmacy leadership to promote high-quality, safe, and efficient pharmacy services that support exceptional patient care.
A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm with no weekends or holidays required. On-call is required every 6 weeks from Friday to Friday.

Physical Requirements:
Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times.
Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.
Normal or corrected vision.
Extensive sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person.
