Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Change Management

  • Manage projects in improving operation efficiency and enhancing customer experience independently
  • Look into business needs of different BUs and re-examine and re-design operation processes to achieve scalability and efficiency
  • Work closely with BUs, internal and external IT vendors to manage the end-to-end process of system enhancement including user requirements/stories gathering, UAT, and post-implementation support/bug-fix
  • Ensure projects are progressing in a timely manner and fit in resource plans well

Vendor Management

  • Liaise with external vendors who support new initiatives (e.g. external consultants/technical vendors) and define service scope and timeline
  • Monitor vendors’ performance and progress to ensure spending and lead time follow project plan
  • Identify potential vendor delivery issues (progress/cost/capability) and escalate to management/stakeholders in a timely manner

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with external vendors, internal front-end and back-end teams
  • Manage stakeholders’ expectation and seek agreement in project approach, cost, and delivery
  • Escalate potential risks/issues in different stages of projects to relevant stakeholders/management in a timely manner

Business Analysis

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, define, and document requirements related to insurance products, policies, claims management, and risk assessment.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze and map existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or optimization in areas such as underwriting, policy administration, and claims processing.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Work closely with IT teams to design solutions that address business challenges, support regulatory requirements, and facilitate integration with legacy or new systems.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Develop reports and dashboards using insurance data to provide actionable insights for business leaders and regulators, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Testing & Validation: Support user acceptance testing, validate that implemented changes meet business requirements, and facilitate training sessions for end-users.

Job Requirement:

  • Degree holder, preferably with insurance-related qualifications, e.g. LOMA, FLMI, ICA;
  • At least 4 years’ experience in project management/insurance fields
  • Proven track record of working with IT, vendors and stakeholders on product development, developing user requirements and test cases for system, and conducting UAT;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with analytical mindset;
  • Frequent user of Microsoft PowerPoint. Confident to present ideas visually and verbally;
  • Good team player, able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving skills & customer centricity mindset;
  • Deep understanding of insurance products and operations, translate complex requirements into practical solutions that advance the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
  • Cantonese speaker with good command of both English and Chinese.
