
Position Title: Assistant Manager of Nursing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Clinical Nurse Manager
Manages and directs, with accountability and responsibility, nursing services and staff and coordinates the activities of hospital support personnel during the evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts, ensuring the delivery of integrated patient-centered care and uninterrupted services. Implements policies and procedures, union contract provisions, accreditation and other regulatory requirements. Provides direct patient care and coverage when necessary and within the scope of professional practice and license.
Collaborates with the Director of Nursing (DON) and department managers regarding the administrative management of the hospital during these shifts. Keeps the Manager, Nursing Managers informed of issues related to patient care, operations, risk and continuous improvement activities, on a timely basis.
Wage Range: $90,626.60 - $135,939.61/year
Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
Current State of Hawaii RN licensure.
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Associate's degree in nursing and two (2) years of Nursing Management experience
Skills/Experience:
Two (2) years of acute care medical-surgical and/or acute rehabilitation experience.
Ability to direct personnel.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Certification (CRRN)
Education:
Master’s degree in Nursing with to (2) years of nursing management experience or Master's degree in nursing.
Skills/Experience:
One to three (1-3) years of management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
