About the Role

The Assistant Manager of Lawn Chair Rentals and Wheelchair Attendants supports the manager in overseeing a part-time staff who provide essential mobility and comfort services to guests.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Lawn & Wheelchair Rental Manager in managing a team of up to 20 staff members.

  • Train the staff in assisting Tanglewood patrons with wheelchairs and with the lawn chair / cushion rental (see descriptions on the Tanglewood jobs page).

  • Assist the team with the sales POS system for lawn chair / cushion rentals and help train the staff.

  • Provide independent leadership for the staff when the Manager of Lawn Chair Rentals and Wheelchair Attendants is not present.

  • Provide strong leadership, create a positive working environment, and support a team dynamic among the staff.

  • Guide the staff in Customer Service skills and maintain the highest levels of service for Tanglewood attendees.

Required Education and Experience

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Excellent customer service and leadership skills, be able to remain thoughtful and courteous under pressure. Must be patient and be able to handle the general public under difficult conditions.

  • Must be organized and be able to support the management of the Lawn Chair Rental and Wheelchair Attendant team.

  • Must be able to assist the manager in leading a team of 20 part-time staff members and fill the role as manager when needed.

  • Must be comfortable interacting with patrons with mobility needs.

  • Must be able to push at least 200 Lbs. in a wheelchair, and must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Customer service and retail experience a plus.

  • This position involves flexible hours, late nights and weekends

Pay Rate Range: $19.25 - 19.50
