Assistant Manager – NPI Engineering

About the Opportunity
Evantis Talent Solutions is recruiting two Assistant Managers in NPI Engineering for a global semiconductor assembly and testing business.
You will coordinate the introduction of new products into manufacturing, providing technical leadership from engineering samples and process validation through qualification and production launch. The role focuses on manufacturing readiness, technical risk management, and meeting customer expectations for quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate new product introduction activities, developing and executing NPI plans to ensure a smooth transition from development into manufacturing.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and gap analyses, coordinating corrective actions to close outstanding issues before qualification release and mass production.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for technical and manufacturing issues arising during the NPI process.
- Manage engineering lot backlogs and ageing lots across engineering samples, Design of Experiments (DOE), process validation, qualification, and production launch.
- Prepare accurate engineering reports and maintain clear records of NPI progress, technical findings, and actions to meet customer expectations.
- Coordinate the preparation and release of control plans, process flows, frozen process recipes, and special manufacturing instructions.
- Drive yield improvement and monitor delivery readiness to support a controlled transition into production.
- Support customer audits and visits relating to NPI projects, ensuring readiness and timely resolution of findings.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in NPI, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or product integration within semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience supporting new products through engineering trials, process validation, qualification, and production release.
- Understanding of technical risk assessment, gap analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
- Familiarity with DOE, control plans, process flows, process parameters, and yield improvement.
- Ability to coordinate multiple engineering activities, manage priorities, and follow outstanding issues through to closure.
- Strong technical reporting, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Thai nationality.
