A Day in the Life:

  • Support the Leather Goods merchandising strategy for China retail—one of TORY BURCH’s key categories.
  • Drive assortment excellence with strong fashion sensibility, which helps to elevate brand desirability and premium perception in the local market.
  • Execute retail merchandising across seasonal buy support, store allocation, replenishment, and product lifecycle management for the store network.
  • Deliver sales, margin, and inventory targets while protecting brand equity and full‑price health.
  • Be a mature team player—partnering closely with Planning, Retail, VM, Marketing, and global counterparts to land seasonal stories flawlessly.
  • Bring a strong local voice: translate China consumer, competitor, and trend insights into clear product and business recommendations aligned with global strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support category ownership for Leather Goods performance: sales, margin, and inventory for retail channel.
  • Support seasonal buy process and lifecycle management (buy, reorder, pricing, markdown, exit) with strong attention to detail.
  • Build locally relevant assortments by store cluster and tier, aligned with global line plan and brand positioning.
  • Bring market and trend insights to global teams: share competitor read, best sellers, and product feedback to influence future development.
  • Partner with Allocation team to ensure healthy depth by store, optimize SKU efficiency, and execute store allocation, replenishment, stock rebalancing, and inter‑store transfers to improve availability and turns across the retail network.
  • Work as a collaborative, mature team player with Retail, VM, Marketing, Training, and Planning to deliver strong full‑price performance and compelling in‑store storytelling.
  • Monitor market dynamics (pricing, launches, promotions, key looks) and identify opportunities/risks with actionable recommendations.
  • Support product launches and seasonal execution through tools, store communication, and post‑launch analysis to drive continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6–9 years’ experience in fashion/luxury merchandising or planning; Leather Goods (Handbags/SLG) experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong fashion sense and product judgment, with high sensitivity to China consumer trends and competitor landscape.
  • Mature team player with proven cross‑functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with global teams.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel) and comfort working with sales, margin, and inventory data.
  • Clear communication and influencing skills; able to present insights and recommendations with confidence and humility.
