MyTOWN Shopping Centre is a super-regional shopping centre for friends and family on the fringes of the Central Business District of Kuala Lumpur. The shopping centre is a one-stop destination for shopping, dining and entertainment with more than 400 stores. Responsible

  • Integrated Campaign Planning: Sets success metrics and oversees execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with marketing calendar to drive MyTOWN’s visibility and shopper footfall
  • Brand Governance: Manages brand and content strategy, reinforces MyTOWN’s brand identity and market positioning, ensuring a consistent narrative across all platforms, channels, and customer touchpoints
  • Strategic and Crisis Communications: Manages crisis communication messaging and approvals, assisting Marketing Manager on press and media relations, content publishers and influencer outreach
  • Events and Experiential Marketing: Oversees execution for MyTOWN’s on-ground thematic events and activations, elevating shopper experience through ambience, wayfinding, and installations
  • Reporting and Performance Analytics: Monitors campaign performance and tracking while ensuring data integrity, delivering accurate and actionable reports that support business decisions
  • Tenant and Partner Management: Drives tenant participation for thematic campaigns, builds strategic partnership opportunities and community collaboration initiatives with corporations, government-related bodies and non-profit associations to strengthen brand sentiments
  • Budget Management: Ensures efficient budget utilisation, ROI tracking and cost control for respective division
  • Cross-functional Collaboration within the wider Marketing team and with other departments to ensure campaign operational efficiency
  • Leadership and Team Management: Guides and mentors a division of marketing generalists and graphic designers, ensuring workflow optimisation while providing assistance to the Marketing Manager

  • Marketing Communications KPIs Accountable for footfall growth, tenant value and campaign ROI
  • Tenant Communication: Ensure tenants are up to date with latest information on marketing campaigns and activities
  • Shopper and Customer Experience: Ensure effective execution of shopper engagement activities and experiential campaign

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitors, customer insights, and campaign performance; translate insights into strategy, action plans, and optimisation
  • Best Practices Share marketing best practices, customer insights, and innovative working methods across the portfolio
  • IKEA Partnership: Collaborate with IKEA stakeholders strengthen customer engagement and destination positioning

Qualifications

  • Experience Minimum 6 years of marketing experience

  • Data and Insights Strong understanding on the relationship between shopper insights and business performance
  • Retail and Shopper Landscape Knowledgeable in retail dynamics and shopper behaviour trends
  • Project Management High expertise in campaign and project management including crisis and conflict management
  • Language Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia with strong verbal, written, presentation, and public speaking skills, knowledge of other languages is an added advantage
  • Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, PR, Communications, or related disciplines
