Responsible for the planning, development, and action associated with the sourcing of material, negotiation of pricing, and supplier relationship building on large customer projects, special orders and non-forecasted demand (KOB1, KOB2)
Engage tracked customer projects during pursuit phase to identify key components, determine desired process, and utilize supply chain tools and processes to maximize leverage and support customer project objectives and timeline.
Develop processes and strategies to drive margin improvement through product and commodity analysis.
Collaborate with Sales determining where demand influence is necessary for to supply chain or process restrictions.
Find alternative solution for shortening the lead-time in case of any constraint
Ensure safety during supplier or plant visit.
Cost containment value for Fiscal year – Target vs Achieved
OTD of suppliers based on sourcing strategy – Should be equal to or above 95%
Minimum 10 + years of relevant working experience in procurement/sourcing/supplier development.
Demonstrated track record of implementing cost containment/savings projects, yielding sourcing strategies involving multiple manufacturing sites and working with various stakeholders
Experience in project management, Lean, 5S and six sigma .
Knowledge of Supply base by World Area for key commodities like castings, forgings, machining
Able to work independently, and apply problem solving techniques to achieve desired results.
A team-player with good interpersonal skills.
Self-driven and ready to take initiatives on his/her own
