Job Description
The Assistant Manager – Learning & Development will be responsible for independently identifying, designing, delivering, and managing technical, enablement, and leadership development programs across career levels, based on the current and evolving business landscape within Consulting and Advisory.
The role requires end-to-end ownership of learning journeys, including training needs identification, learning design, delivery, effectiveness measurement, and continuous improvement, leveraging MOOC platforms, LMS administration, data-driven insights, and strong stakeholder and vendor management to enable workforce capability building at scale.
Technical & Enablement Learning Leadership
- Individually identify and assess training needs from the business by closely understanding the current Consulting and Advisory landscape, emerging skill gaps, and capability requirements.
- Engage with business stakeholders to translate capability needs into targeted learning interventions.
- Design and build end-to-end Technical and Technology Learning Journeys for campus and lateral hires.
- Create structured learning paths aligned to career levels, role expectations, and future skill demands.
- Develop learning nuggets, microlearning content, and job aids to support recall and on-the-job application.
- Manage the program delivery lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, execution, tracking, and closure.
- Measure learning effectiveness using data, learner feedback, and performance metrics, and continuously refine programs.
Leadership & Professional Skills Development
- Design and deploy leadership development and enablement programs for early-career, mid-level, and senior professionals.
- Support development of future-ready leadership and managerial capabilities through blended learning approaches.
- Partner with leadership stakeholders to align learning interventions with organizational and business objectives.
Learning Platforms, MOOC & LMS Management
- Design and administer learning journeys on MOOC platforms and Learning Management Systems.
- Curate relevant internal and external learning content from MOOC providers.
- Ensure learning data accuracy, reporting, and compliance across platforms.
Drive learner adoption through intuitive learning path design and experience-led learning journeys.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key liaison with learning and technology vendors, building strong and collaborative relationships.
- Manage vendor deliverables, quality, timelines, and outcomes.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across KGS locations, entities, and business teams to ensure alignment and impact.
People & Organizational Responsibilities
- Work closely with counterparts across locations and entities within KGS.
- Build strong networks and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change while maintaining delivery quality.
- Actively participate in and support organizational change and capability transformation initiatives.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong working knowledge of L&D foundational concepts, learning models, and end-to-end processes.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning programs.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and audience engagement skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the L&D function within a large multinational organization.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with end-to-end ownership of deliverables.
- Ability to manage program deliverables, track outcomes, and close the process loop.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Power BI, Alteryx, Excel macros, or similar tools.
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Hands-on experience with MOOC platforms and LMS administration.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
Master’s degree or professional certification in L&D / Talent Development / OD is preferred.
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of experience in the Learning & Development function within a large multinational or Consulting/Advisory environment.
- Proven experience in independently identifying training needs from the business and translating them into scalable learning solutions.
- Hands-on experience in designing, delivering, and managing technical, enablement, and leadership development programs.
- Experience working closely with business leaders, HR stakeholders, and vendors.
