About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workday Lead - Core HCM to drive the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of Workday’s Core Human Capital Management (HCM) modules. This role will serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert, ensuring optimal configuration, governance, and continuous improvement of Workday HCM processes across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Workday Core HCM, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional enhancements and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Workday Core HCM Leadership

  • Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday modules.
  • Serve as the primary SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Core HCM functionality.

Implementation & Enhancements

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement initiatives, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-go-live support.
  • Define and document business requirements, functional designs, and system configurations.
  • Design and maintain scalable process frameworks.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across all processes.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and other business stakeholders to align system functionality with business needs.
  • Act as liaison between business users and Workday/vendors/implementation partners.
  • Provide advisory support to HRIT leadership on system capabilities and roadmap.

Security & Data Governance

  • Maintain and enhance Workday security model, including role-based and user-based access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data privacy and governance standards.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts or team members.
  • Lead mini project teams and ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.

Communication

  • Works with all HRIT members to ensure teamwork meets users’ requirement/timeline.
  • Liaises with necessary AIA colleagues outside HRIT to ensure delivery of the functional work as required.
  • Escalate and work with vendors for HRIT issues including report system issues, raise service request for changing system parameters, files and customization.

Education

  • University / College graduate in computer science or other relevant discipline.

Experience

  • 5 to 8 years’ relevant experience in regional solution/system support.
  • Has exposure in Workday as a Workday Partner will be an added advantage.
  • Has Workday configuration experience with strong focus on Core HCM.

  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
