Job Description

Job Purpose *

L2 Production Support Engineer is responsible for the 2nd level support on the day-to-day maintenance of application system. Their task includes problem analysis, troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation to the next level (L3 Support team).

Key Responsibilities *

• Problem analysis and resolution.

• Perform system performance and stability monitoring

• Provide support and coordination of planned activities based on assigned shifts. Subjected to change as and when assigned by supervisor.

• Support the system maintenance (including deployment related activities) for Production and DR environment as assigned by the supervisor.

• Collection and analysis of system statistics

• On-call standby support 24x7.

• Complete other task to be assigned by supervisor

• Own the reported issue and work towards issue resolution.

Job Specification *

• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

• Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.

• General banking knowledge or Banking knowledge related to online banking

• Represent production support for the suite of apps in the domain in Agile stand-ups, planning sessions and deployment activities.

• Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation to continuously improve the production environment.

• Identify reoccurring issues and work with IT & Business partners to remediate using the problem management process.

Qualifications

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
