We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager - Governance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in establishing and maintaining robust internal control and governance standards, particularly for customer onboarding. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and managing portfolio monitoring and governance, with a focus on online channel usage and KYC accuracy. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying patterns and account throughput for L3 customers, ensuring the validation of KYC alerts and profiles, and implementing Central Bank guidelines for compliance.

• Develop and manage internal control and governance standards for customer onboarding, ensuring a seamless and compliant process.
• Focus on online channel usage and KYC accuracy for portfolio monitoring and governance, identifying any potential risks or anomalies.
• Analyze patterns and account throughput for L3 customers, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the customer onboarding journey.
• Validate KYC alerts and profiles, taking necessary actions to mitigate any potential risks or fraudulent activities.
• Review and control high-risk items such as MER, ONR, and deferrals, ensuring compliance and minimizing potential liabilities.
• Oversee the completion of training modules for all staff, raising awareness of risk and ensuring a culture of compliance.
• Liaise with FP&I to implement best practices and develop self-governing mechanisms to detect and prevent fraudulent applications.
• Stay updated with Central Bank guidelines and implement compliance requirements, ensuring the organization's adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance the overall customer onboarding experience.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas of improvement.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in handling onboarding and KYC processes in business banking is essential.
• Strong knowledge of internal control and governance standards, with a focus on customer onboarding and compliance.
• Excellent understanding of online channel usage, KYC accuracy, and the ability to analyze patterns and account throughput.
• Experience in validating KYC alerts and profiles, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating risks.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for customer onboarding and governance management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive and analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Any relevant certifications or qualifications in compliance, risk management, or governance will be an advantage.
