Purpose of the Job

Apply your accounting expertise across a diverse portfolio of fund structures and investment vehicles, helping clients meet their financial reporting, regulatory and operational objectives. Working closely with fund administrators, auditors and clients, you'll contribute to the delivery of accurate financial statements, fund reporting and Net Asset Value calculations while gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting frameworks and fund structures. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your technical knowledge, play an active role in client engagements and support the ongoing enhancement of fund accounting processes within a collaborative and professional environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of fund structures, transactions and reporting requirements to support the accurate delivery of financial information across your portfolio.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, management accounts and fund reporting deliverables, ensuring commitments are met in line with agreed timelines.
  • Apply relevant accounting standards, including IFRS, UK GAAP or US GAAP, to ensure reporting remains accurate, compliant and aligned with industry best practice.
  • Support the launch of new funds and entities by establishing effective accounting and reporting processes tailored to client requirements.
  • Partner with administration teams to ensure underlying bookkeeping and transactional records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
  • Calculate and review Net Asset Values (NAVs) in accordance with fund documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, auditors and professional advisers, coordinating reporting timetables, audit activities and accounting discussions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting the enhancement of accounting processes, reporting procedures and service delivery standards.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • ACCA or ACA qualified, or qualified through significant relevant accounting or financial services experience.
  • Strong accounting and fund reporting experience, ideally gained within private equity, real estate, corporate structures or the wider funds industry.
  • Sound technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP or other relevant accounting frameworks, with the ability to apply accounting principles pragmatically.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality outputs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients, auditors and colleagues at all levels.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency, combined with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
