Job Description

The Fulfillment Assistant Manager will support the daily operations of the Fulfillment Center, overseeing key processes such as order fulfillment, inventory management, and team supervision. This role ensures that daily tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, with a focus on maintaining quality, reducing shrinkage, and enhancing team performance. The Fulfillment Assistant Manager works closely with the Fulfillment Manager and other team leaders to ensure seamless operations and that all orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values

· Assist in managing the daily operations of the Fulfillment Center, including opening and closing the facility.

· Maintain a solid understanding of the Order Management System (OMS) software and ensure associates are following procedures.

· Supervise associates on the warehouse floor, ensuring proper order fulfillment practices.

· Oversee daily Pick Generation of incoming orders and assign orders to Pickers as needed.

· Monitor and track pick rates for associates and ensure that performance standards are met.

· Manage order variances and correct LOCS (location codes) as necessary.

· Practice shrinkage control and implement preventive measures to reduce loss.

· Report daily progress and activity to the Systems Operator/Fulfillment Manager.

· Assist with safety procedures, training, policy compliance, reporting, and facility maintenance.

· Adhere to all company policies

· Maintain neat appearance and be dependable.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Must be at least 18 years old

· Knowledge of OMS software and warehouse management systems.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Ability to lead a team, provide training, and resolve personnel issues.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work under pressure during peak seasons and adapt to changing priorities.

· Knowledge of inventory management practices and shrinkage control measures.

· Basic understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.

· Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
