Get to Know the Team

The Country Finance team is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, planning and analysis, business partnering, compliance and governance, and decision support. We are an integral part of ensuring Grab Thailand's financial integrity and sustainable growth. Our team spans FP&A and Controllership functions, covering multiple legal entities across On Demand Services and Financial Services businesses.

Get to Know the Role

This role will report into Head of Controllership. You will be responsible for daily operations of the accounting department, collaborating and reviewing with Shared Service on the closing, monthly financial reporting, ensure efficiency and accuracy in all transaction, maintaining effective internal controls and improving financial processes. You'll play an integral role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company and ensuring all regulatory compliance.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will collaborate with the Shared Services team on General Ledger operations, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Ensure accuracy and completeness.
• You will prepare financial statements and variance reports with attention to detail and accuracy
• You will manage internal controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable accounting standards
• You will help develop and implement accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency
• You will coordinate with internal and external audit teams, addressing audit findings
• You will oversee and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and performance feedback
• You will analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process optimization
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions across multiple cost centers and departments

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting software and Excel skills.
• Comprehensive operational understanding of the accounting principles and financial mechanics governing complex corporate structures, multi-entity frameworks, and complex financial products.
• You can handle large amounts of data and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Thai and English.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
