It is dedicated to promoting the transition to low-carbon energy and sustainable development in Hong Kong and cities across the Chinese Mainland, assisting the Hong Kong SAR Government and the nation in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and 2060 respectively.

We are looking for a high caliber professional to join our Finance and Risk Management Department as an Assistant Manager - Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the production of monthly management reports and board papers ensuring they are properly collated and dispatched within agreed timescales
  • Produce regular BU management reports summarising key financial and operational data across the BU’s various business lines and functions against budget and/or latest forecast to the Board of Directors and senior management
  • Participate in the management reports and optimisation processes to ensure continuous improvements in the team’s reporting and annual budgeting/forecasting processes
  • Build and develop management reports for Finance and Business Lines with PowerBI.
  • Participate in the annual BU business planning and budgeting process, including but not limited to evaluating key assumptions, performing analytical review, variance and scenario analysis, as well as preparing the consolidated budget deck for the Board of Directors and senior management
  • Monitor the performance of BU’s various business lines, and spending of all support functions and other strategic projects against budget and/or forecast
  • Participate in the regular forecasting exercise for the BU’s various businesses and/or BU functions
  • Partner with assigned business lines to provide professional support and advice in terms of business performance monitoring, financial implications of various business activities, investment evaluation from a credit rating perspective, and cost controls opportunities etc.
  • Assist with the capital allocation assessment and evaluate financial impacts of major investments and divestment opportunities on the BU
  • Assist in annual BU financial related goals setting and review
  • Support BU Sustainability in financial related data analysis in areas of Sustainability Report
  • Research on key financial and operational data of relevant industry players, and propose appropriate benchmarking for business evaluation
  • Assist in performing system maintenance and support in relation to the management reporting and planning module of the ERP, as well as PowerBI
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and assignments as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or business administration
  • CPA/CFA qualified is preferrable
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a commercial FP&A team (with prior Big4 experience is a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and ability to think both strategically and laterally
  • Confidence and proven ability to interpret financial data and distil key message behind to influence management’s decision-making
  • Excellent in PowerBI reporting, Excel modelling, as well as Word and PowerPoint formatting skills
  • Strong research ability on new subjects
  • A proactive self-starter and problem solver, and able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at a time to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels and all functions
  • Experience in Oracle is a big plus
