About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager, Exam Delivery to support the effective operation of the AMC Test Centre, located in Docklands, Melbourne.

This role is responsible for coordinating examination delivery, workforce activities and stakeholder
engagement, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with organisational requirements, quality standards, and culturally safe and inclusive practices. You will play a key leadership role on-site, providing supervision and guidance to staff while ensuring the smooth delivery of examinations and continuous improvement of operations. This position requires flexibility to support operational needs, including the capacity to work outside standard business hours (mornings and evenings), some weekends, and to undertake interstate travel as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the delivery of examinations, meetings and events at the AMC Test Centre;
  • Manage examination logistics including scheduling, staffing, case scenario allocations and resources;
  • Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues during exam delivery;
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching and support to staff and casual workforce;
  • Oversee workforce coordination, including rostering and timesheet approvals
  • Manage examination materials, stock and inventory processes;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Contribute to process improvements, program development and operational efficiency;
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and quality standards;
  • Promote and embed culturally safe, respectful and inclusive practices across all
    activities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong coordination and logistics management experience in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Experience supervising or leading teams;
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and operational guidelines;
  • Strong technical and administrative capability, including experience with systems and databases;
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with sound judgement and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system (desirable).

Requirements

  • Relevant vocational qualification and/or demonstrated experience in a related field.
  • Availability to work outside standard business hours (including early mornings, evenings and some weekends).
  • Willingness to travel interstate as required.
