About the Function:

About the role 

This role is responsible for executing the implementation of Asset Care/Manufacturing Excellence strategy and specific projects aligned with the USL Performance Ambition that focuses on improving operations discipline and standardization of manufacturing processes. The outcome required is to drive an Asset Care culture that measurably optimizes machine performance, improves the efficiency of processes and reduce manufacturing costs.

Experience/skills required: 

Qualification:

  • BE/ B.Tech - Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of hands-on applicable experience
  • 5+ years of Direct Consumer Goods manufacturing production/maintenance experience

Knowledge & skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with Manufacturing Excellence principles
  • Strong focus on Asset Care as well as 5S, TQM, and TPM
  • Excellent planning and execution skills

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

PERFORMANCE MEASURES (QUANTITATIVE / QUALITATIVE)

1 Site facility maintenance and upkeep

  • Chart out initiatives for sustained improvement of Global Supply Manage the processes to ensure meeting of the KPIs against unit level performance targets
  • Demonstrate rigor in implementation and execution of Global ManEx processes and standards
  • Implement effective Asset Care processes resulting in a reduction of machine downtime, product quality reliability, and sustained improvement of site facilities conditions and improved unit staff related capabilities

Positive impact on site Health & Safety performance, LTA & TRA rates

Improved cost and quality performance of the site, Cost/case & Cases/Man Day, OEE, PPM Defects

Overall site facility condition and

maintenance, L1 Audit score

2 Drive asset care strategy

  • Implement an Asset Care strategy aligned to the USL ManEx objectives and overall Manufacturing strategy
  • Sustain improvement of Global Supply operations through driving key strategic initiatives
  • Drive adherence towards KPIs for unit level performance targets
  • Be responsible for overall site facility condition and maintenance
  • Optimize Maintenance Spares program, via R & M and CapEx Budget

  • Drive and execute initiatives for auditable improvement in employee technical capabilities and understanding of required processes
