Assistant Manager – Maintenance

In line with our continued growth, we are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to join our Manufacturing Operations team.

Assistant Manager – Maintenance

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading maintenance operations across Alumex PLC manufacturing facilities while ensuring maximum equipment reliability, operational continuity, and plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across manufacturing facilities.
• Develop and execute planned maintenance schedules (PM) to improve equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure effective maintenance and continuous improvement of production machinery, utility equipment, and plant infrastructure
• Drive maintenance excellence initiatives including breakdown reduction, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement programs
• Plan and manage maintenance shutdown activities while ensuring timely completion.
• Support plant expansion, engineering projects, machinery installation, and process improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with production and cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, control maintenance budgets, and optimize spare parts inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards across all maintenance activities.
• Carry out any other responsibilities assigned relating to plant and equipment maintenance management.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, utilities, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning, TPM practices, and reliability improvement initiatives
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.
