The Assistant Manager - Electrical will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities critical to the success of Adani’s power operations.
- Leading and managing electrical maintenance teams to ensure the reliable operation of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, motors, and protection systems
- Planning, scheduling, and executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifecycle
- Conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting electrical faults and breakdowns promptly to maintain uninterrupted power supply.
- Collaborating with project management teams to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and infrastructure in line with design specifications and safety standards
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and compliance with statutory regulations such as IEC, IS, and other relevant standards for electrical installations and operations
- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for electrical maintenance to enhance operational efficiency and safety
- Managing vendor relationships and evaluating contractor performance during maintenance and project execution phases.
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and maintenance records to support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinating with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of spares, tools, and consumables necessary for electrical maintenance activities
- Driving initiatives for energy efficiency and sustainability by identifying opportunities to reduce electrical energy consumption and optimize system performance.
- Training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians to build a skilled and safety-conscious workforce aligned with Adani’s culture of continuous learning and development.
- Participating actively in emergency response teams to handle electrical incidents or breakdowns with swift decision-making and effective action.
- Engaging with cross-functional teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and operations to ensure integrated and seamless plant performance
- Supporting management in budget preparation and cost control measures related to electrical maintenance and projects
- Promoting a culture of safety, integrity, accountability, and teamwork in line with Adani’s core values and business ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
