About your team

Financial Control team in India are responsible for Controllership and Reporting activities for Eight Roads entities, including support for key activities like Month-end accounting, Annual Audit and Tax. The team is also engaged in leading projects and impelementing of key accounting processes and standards. Other key responsibilities within Financial control function in India include:

  • Accounting & Control,
  • Business reporting
  • Revenue & Billing
  • Transfer Pricing
  • Group/legal entity year-end and audit
  • Direct taxation reporting,
  • Treasury & regulatory compliances,
  • MIS reporting’s and supporting the extended teams in Eigh Roads Group.

About your role

The primary duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Performing accounting and fund administration for the Eight Roads’ venture capital funds investing in India and investments made into third party funds.
  • Responsible for month end accounting and reporting process which includes the reconciliation of investment and cash transactions.
  • Production of quarterly investor reports, General Partner board reporting, and annual fund financial statements.
  • Preparation of carried interest calculations.
  • Preparation of distribution and call notices and associated calculations.
  • Responsible for managing the capital call process including preparation of Investment Authorisation forms, coordination respective teams to execute funding and timely recording of transactions.
  • Assisting with the annual tax returns for the fund and relevant Partners, across different jurisdictions, and liaising with our tax advisors directly to close queries.
  • Working closely with venture capital teams, Corporate Treasury, legal and tax departments to ensure support investment transaction processing and cash management.
  • Assist with other group finance activities and ad-hoc projects as required
  • Assisting the group audit and local fund audits, liaising with and providing assistance to external auditors.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • An ACA, CA or equivalent accounting designation.
  • Practical experience with investment companies and complex partnership structures preferably within US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of fund structures and its implication in accounting under US GAAP.
    Experience of preparation of financial statements, preferably under US GAAP.
  • Experience with investment performance calculation and presentation, including attribution analysis is desirable.
  • Experience in an international multi-currency environment.
