As our Deli Assistant Manager, you’ll help lead daily operations, support the team, and ensure high standards for food quality, safety, and customer service.

We’re looking for a strong leader with experience in either Front of House (customer service/retail) or Back of House (kitchen/food production). We’re open to finding the right fit based on your experience and strengths.

What You’ll Do

• Help lead daily Deli operations, including staffing, workflow, and production needs.
• Coach, train, and support team members while promoting accountability and a positive work environment.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Ensure products are prepared, stocked, rotated, and presented appropriately.
• Support either front-of-house customer service and merchandising or back-of-house food production and kitchen operations.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Deli Manager, team members, and other departments.
• Help resolve customer and operational concerns.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the Deli running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
• Food service, kitchen, grocery, or retail experience
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• A hands-on, team-first approach
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Food Handler’s Card
• Knife Safety and ServSafe certification preferred

Physical Demands & Working Environment

• This is an active role that requires being on your feet for much of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching, and working in a fast-paced deli and kitchen environment.
