The Digital Analytics and Insights team supports the business by driving digital analytics implementation and personalisation, alongside delivering core analysis, reporting, and segmentation for digital marketing campaigns, online application forms, websites and mobile apps across CIMB groups.
Your Role:
Digital Analytics and MarTech Specialist
We are looking for a forward-thinking Front-End Developer who specializes in Digital Analytics, Personalisation, and MarTech Innovation
- The Builder: You will use your coding skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) to engineer robust data collection (Adobe Analytics) and personalization (Adobe Target) layers.
- The Researcher: You will lead R&D initiatives to evaluate new MarTech tools, solve emerging challenges (like cookie deprecation), and prototype solutions for both Web and Mobile Apps.
Key Responsibilities *
- Analytics Tagging & Implementation
- Data Layer Management: Collaborate with core developers to define and maintain a JSON-based Data Layer to expose application data to the tracking scripts.
- Tag Management: Configure Adobe Launch (Tags) properties, creating Rules, Data Elements, and Extensions to trigger tracking based on user actions (e.g., page loads, clicks, video interactions).
- Custom Code: Write custom JavaScript within the tag manager to handle complex data scraping, manipulation, or complex event triggers.
- Quality Assurance: Debug and validate tracking requests using tools like Adobe Experience Platform Debugger, Charles Proxy, or browser network logs to ensure data accuracy.
- Personalisation & A/B Testing
- Experience Setup: Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to code and execute A/B tests and personalization activities within Adobe Target.
- Technical Setup: Write scripts to dynamically insert content, hide elements, or restructure page layouts for test variations ensuring flicker-free experience delivery.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose rendering issues in SPAs (Single Page Applications) or complex web environments.
- Collaboration & Maintenance
- Translate business tracking requirements into technical implementation specs.
- Monitor existing tags to ensure site updates or deployments do not break existing tagging or personalization selectors.
- R&D & Innovation:
- Proactively researches new features within the MarTech stack (e.g., new Adobe extensions, browser privacy updates like ITP/ETP) to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Independently investigates technical feasibility for new channels (Web vs. App) and emerging technologies (e.g., Server-Side tagging, Consent Management Platform, Customer Data Platform, etc.).
- Interest in exploring "Proof of Concepts" (POCs) for emerging web/app technologies.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures all operations are in compliance with departmental, local, Group and regional regulations
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal and external auditors
Job Specification *
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Finance/Business/Financial Engineering/ IT/Computer Science/Data Science and Analytic)
Added advantage but not required: Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)

Technical/Functional skills

Front-End Engineering: Advanced proficiency in core web technologies, specifically JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery, with a focus on DOM manipulation.

Adobe Solutions Mastery: Hands-on expertise in Adobe Launch/Data Collection (Rule configuration & Custom Code), Adobe Analytics (Tagging strategy), and Adobe Target (Activity setup & VEC).

Mobile App Implementation: Experience deploying Adobe Mobile SDKs for iOS and Android; familiarity with mobile frameworks (React Native) and messaging platforms (Airship, Appsflyer) is a strong advantage.

SPA Architecture: Proficiency in architecting tracking solutions for Single Page Applications (SPA), specifically handling state changes in React, Angular, or Vue environments.

MarTech Ecosystem: In-depth knowledge of the wider digital marketing stack, including but not limited to Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and Data Management Platforms (DMP).

Data Strategy & Integration: Ability to connect disparate data points across platforms to construct a holistic customer view.
